The Clarence Hay Library new book review section. See all the book reviews here.
The Museum's Clarence Hay Library is named after the father of naturalist, author and Museum co-founder John Hay. Clarence Hay was a generous benefactor of CCMNH during the period of growth and development.
The library began in the hallway of the original building with a few titles and moved into its present location with 2,400 volumes. It now holds more than 10,000 titles, all related to the natural sciences and local history, including an extensive collection of field guides and teachers' guidebooks, and approximately 30 periodicals. Visitors can also use selected databases and various on-line resources.
The library is staffed by volunteers and is open to the general public for research. Museum members are allowed to borrow materials.
