General Info

Cape Cod Museum of Natural History continues its long tradition of offering quality educational programs in marine science, environmental and ecological studies, and Cape Cod flora and fauna at its campus on Cape Cod Bay. Groups are encouraged to plan a guided field walk, a tour of the museum’s exhibits, one of seven natural history family presentations – or a combination of these exciting programs. We invite you to consider the museum as a multi-faceted educational resource that is ready to work with you to achieve an individualized visit for your school or group.

ADULT GROUPS can learn about the archaeology, early human history and development of the Cape as you tour our exhibit areas and take the guided walk to Wing Island and the Bay [Walking Wing's Island Guide/Map: page 1 page 2]. Many of our programs are interactive and combination tours of more than one program are also available. These include outdoor beehive programs, “mud flat mania” family walks and PowerPoint auditorium nature programs narrated by trained naturalists.

Our trained docents educate and entertain in our exhibit galleries, aquarium and in the magnificent natural setting that surrounds the museum, including four distinct habitats – coastal woodland, salt marsh, dunes and beach tidal flats. The size of each group is limited so that guides can respond effectively to the questions and interests of the participants.

Please call for Group Reservations at 508.896.3867 extension 112 for special group rates and available dates.
