CCMNH is proud to present “Putting it on the Table”, a food series featuring the best of Cape Cod’s local food movement, a collaborative effort to build more locally based, self-reliant food economies - one in which sustainable food production, processing, distribution, and consumption is integrated to enhance the economic, environmental and social health of Cape Cod by promoting community interaction and relationships between farmers, and consumers.
December 13 – 1pm -Chocolate
“Putting it on the Table”, a local food series at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History takes a bite out of…Chocolate with Master chocolatier Ray Hebert of Stage Stop Candy in Dennisport. Just in time for the Holidays, Ray presents a history of Cacao from Pre-Columbian Central America to the palaces of Western Europe. From aphrodisiac, to health food, to confection and back to health food Cacao has come full circle. The presentation will include tasting "origin chocolates" from different growing areas from around the globe.
