Cape Cod's Nature Place

The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

Preserved Bird Collection

Also known as Bird Alley

This is a large collection of mounted specimens donated to the Museum by the Ralph E. Stuart estate. Every bird can be found on Cape Cod. There is also a small nest exhibit.

The Museum gratefully acknowledges Ralph E. Stuart and his efforts in accummulating the majority of the birds in this exhibit as part of his personal collection and that of his family for the donation of the collection to the Museum in his name.

In 2010, a group of dedicated volunteers helped to restore the murals that serve as the background for the exhibit and cleaned and restored the preserved specimines inside.
