The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

Plant Sale and Native Plant Marketplace

Annual Event

Celebrate spring! Looking for perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs, and house plants?  Find new plants to brighten up your garden, attract pollinators including butterflies, honey bees, native bees, bats and insects, or add to your wildflower meadow! Discover a great selection of North American native perennials for sun and shade, including groundcovers, grasses and pollen magnets. Many of these are native to Massachusetts and help to create habitat for birds and other wildlife. There will also be a variety of donated garden favorites. Experienced gardeners will be available to answer questions and assist with plant selections. All proceeds will benefit Museum programs.

In addition, there will be two special screenings of the life and career of America’s first female landscape artist, Beatrix Farrand.

 *10:45am ~ The Life and Gardens of Beatrix Farrand ~ Directed by Karyl Evans

Following the first film, Janice Dill, caretaker of the Shirley G. Cross Wildflower Garden at Green Briar Nature Center in Sandwich will be available for an informal discussion.

* 12:30pm ~ Beatrix Farrand’s American Landscape ~ Directed by Stephen Ives

*The films are Free with Museum Admission
