2017 Field Guide Training Course
Six Tuesday Sessions:

March 14 - April 4, 2017 9am-2pm
If you have a yen to learn about the natural history of Cape Cod, Wing Island, and the Stony Brook Valley area, and if you enjoy talking with others and sharing what you’ve learned, then come join a like-minded group of individuals and become a volunteer field guide at Cape Cod’s Nature Place, The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History.
The 2017 Field Guide Training Course begins on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 and continues on 6 consecutive Tuesday mornings through April 11th plus 4 afternoons, March 14 – April 4. Morning sessions begin at 9:00 AM and end at 12:00 Noon. Each morning session includes a presentation and a walk across Wing Island to Cape Cod Bay (i.e. appropriate dress including waterproof boots is required). Afternoon sessions with special presentations are from 12:45 PM to 2:00 PM.
New guides will learn about the natural history of Cape Cod in general and the Stony Brook Valley and Wing Island in Brewster in particular. Veteran guides are invited to participate to prepare for the new season of leading school walks and family walks throughout the spring, summer and fall.
