Drawing from Nature
This is an opportunity for adults interested in developing their drawing skills. Basic tools, media and techniques will be introduced and we will look at examples of different artists’ methods of creating drawings based on the inspiration and observation of nature. If weather permits, the group will move outdoors to sketch and draw directly from nature in the grounds of the museum. In case of rain, the instructor will have natural objects and a still-life available. A critique will be offered at the end of each class. Bring 2B pencils, vine charcoal, a kneaded eraser and a 9x12 (or larger) sketchbook to class. Take one or more sessions.
