Mushrooming can be a fun and safe hobby if you know the guidelines. Get a solid background on what you need to get started on your mushrooming journey with an interactive visual presentation, and then go out on the Museum trail to find some beginner and novice-level mushrooms! Wear good walking footwear, insect repellant, and bring a cloth or paper bag or basket for collection, and a pocket knife or shears.
Rachel Goclawski is a Massachusetts Certified Educator, Wild Foods Foraging Guide, Programming Partner with the Sudbury Valley Trustees, and Programming Partner with the Scouts of Eastern MA. For her "day job," she is a US Army Information Technology Specialist assigned to a Green Energy Testing camp at Ft. Devens.
