Custodian
The Museum is looking to hire a part-time Custodian for our operations team. The custodian will assist in all aspects of operations and maintenance of the Museum.
Duties include:
- Regular cleaning of the Museum and building grounds, with focus on appearance and safety
- Communicate with staff on daily tasks and schedule, including any changes to duties or completing special projects
- Special or seasonal projects, including but not limited to: wall washing, window washing, carpet cleaning, hard surface floor care, and painting
- Snow removal, salting, garbage removal, and litter pick-up
- Assist with Museum services requests, including but not limited to: room set-up, deliveries, emergency clean-up, and other Museum requests
- Identify supply and equipment needs and assist with order placement, as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or building concerns to the Facilities Manager
- Provide support in the Museum’s aquarium that includes changing filters, cleaning tanks and other minor technical support.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and climb ladders.

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-7pm
Pay Rate: $16/hour

Admission Attendant
The Museum is looking for a friendly, organized Admission Attendant to greet visitors, collect fees, encourage membership, and generally manage the whole admission desk process. Training included.
The position is available until filled.
Hours: Weekends
April - May and September- December 11am - 3pm
June - August 10am - 4pm
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Start date: April 2021

Shift Manager/Floor Supervisor
The Museum is looking for an energetic, well-organized multi-tasker to oversee our busy Admissions entrance and special events. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to monitor, adjust and manage bustling activity with a smile and good nature. Some technical abilities and public speaking skills. Experienced with customer service, cash register and phones.
The position is available until filled.
Hours: Monday- Friday 10am-3:30 pm
Pay Rate: negotiable, dependent on experience.

Aquarium Tide Pool Attendant - POSITION FILLED
Friendly attendant interested in Marine Biology. Excellent guest services skills, a plus! Patience with our youngest visitors, willingness to engage the visitors and able to take direction/instruction from staff. Training included.

Hours: Weekends
11am-3pm September - May (closed New Year's Eve to February President's weekend)
10am - 4pm June, July, August
Pay Rate: $16/hour

Administrative Assistant - POSITION FILLED
The Museum is seeking a general administrative person. This job entails multiple duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, assisting visitors with on-line program registration, copying, filing, and tasks related to our KidSummer program including data entry and organizing registration forms. This position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual. Strong communication and computer skills are a must. Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team required.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-2pm
Pay rate: negotiable dependent on experience.
